Profile: Aerosoft S.p.A. is a design and advanced engineering company in aeronautical, space, automotive, railway and naval sectors. It is member of the Aerosoft Group. They are involved in designing and production of aeronautical, automotive, railway and mechanical structures. Aerosoft invests means and financial resources in the study of technological innovations to improve the design and production processes. Their skilled technical staff has participated in several research projects in collaboration with the University of Naples Federico II, with the University of Florence, the CNR, the CIRA and other public and private research centers.
Role in the project / Tasks Attributed: Aerosoft is WP2 Leader. They will supervise the theoretical study and modelling. Aerosoft will also ensure that the results of the project address SME needs in rail industry services by participating in WP1: system specification. Its stuff will provide to the RTDs the needed information about problems that an SME faces in providing maintenance services to the rail industry. In collaboration with the RTOs they will be involved in the system integration (WP6). They will also participate in lab trials & troubleshooting (WP7) & in Dissemination & Exploitation of the research results (WP8)
Previous experience relating to their role: Aerosoft has extensive expertise is in the
following application fields: design and primary and secondary Stress Analysis, Fatigue Analysis, Finite
Element, CFD and Crash Analysis and all the CAD - CAM activities related to the rail industries.

of participation to the project: Participation of Aerosoft to the project will result in enhancement of its
access to the most updated results in the rail services sector. This project will also open a new market
opportunities in NDT and SHEM. The consortium will benefit by Aerosoft's participation because of its
extensive experience in modelling and simulation subjects.
Profile of Staff undertaking the job: The personnel of Aerosoft that will undertake the job in the project has experience in R&D on primary structure of railways. They have many publications in the field of structural analysis, finite element analysis, 3D cad modelling and drafting, production support.
